| Background |
| Mick Gallace runs a 150 acre, state of the art strawberry farm at Main Ridge on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria. |
| The original trial was conducted on marginal producing soil with a history of low yields and poor plant growth. |
| Water supply is via a combination of irrigation/fertigation & spray application. |
| Key trial objectives were to • Improve yield in worst block • Improve soil health & quality.
| What we recommended |
| • 1000kg Soil Reviva on 1½ acres in addition to normal program.
| • Profert through irrigation @ 1ml per linear metre. |
| • Spray application Profert @ 10ml per litre water plus 1ml Xtend per litre. |
| Results achieved |
| Poor performing block has never looked better after Soil Reviva treatment.
| Fruit quality has improved where Profert has been used. |
| Foliage looks healthier against crop not treated with Profert. |
| Program will be expanded to other areas. |
