| Table grapes in Esk, Queensland | | | A bunch of good results... | | | | | Outcome | | | | | |
| Background | | | Trial was conducted on 2 hectares of Paul Condo's table grapes being grown for export. Paul's objective was to see a visual difference to non-Profert treated plants and to maintain good quality fruit through the summer heat. | | | Paul is a large grower of mixed horticulture and has large hothouses for cucumbers, egg plant etc.
Grapes are grown on a wire fence and some are 6 feet high. | | | Traditional & chemical fertilizers are used but Paul is moving toward biological solutions. | | | The farm has good water supply from their own dam. | | | What we recommended | | | Apply Profert/Xtend as a foliar spray at a rate of 10ml/1ml per ltr of water. | | | Spray until run-off every 14 days for a total of 3 sprays. | | | | Results achieved | | | * Fruit quality is good in both size and colour. | | | * Grapes were unaffected by summer heat. | | | Paul has noticed enough difference to now become a regular user. | | |
