Background

PaulTaylor uses Profert through his airblast sprayer to both aid his soil fertiliser programs and to assist him with reducing other problems he believes Profert is helping with. These include black spot control in bananas, Eriaose mite on lychees, and nematodes throughout the soil.

What we recommended

Past experience had shown Paul that applying Profert and Xtend would give him both increased production and increased control of other pests. Paul uses a program of spraying every 3 weeks in summer and every 4-5 weeks in winter.

Results achieved

Using the products Profert and Xtend, Paul believes he grows the best bananas (Lady Finger) in the district. His winter bananas are "thicker" in the middle, more like his summer crop. Paul gets "top" price in the southern markets (Melbourne). He also now has less nematode problems and a noticeable reduction in other diseases in his crops.
